There are two ways to sell a skin: list it in «sell items» and wait for a buyer, or sell it right away at a fixed price through «instant deposit». The first pays more, the second is faster.
P2P selling
You set your price and wait. When the item sells, it goes from your inventory straight to the buyer — we don't hold it ourselves. Our job here is to get the trade all the way through, and the money all the way to you.
The platform fee is 6%. Sell for $100, get $94. We will, on occasion, offer lower fees or run campaigns where you can sell with lower fees. Make sure to keep up with latest Waxpeer news to be the first to find out when that's the case!
Instant sale
If waiting isn't an option, there's Instant sale: a fixed price, money on your balance right away. It's lower than what the catalog could bring — that's exactly what speed costs, and you see both prices before you press anything.
Buying
You pick an item in the catalog and pay from your balance. Everything after that is on the Delivery page: status, timer, and the button to accept the trade.

Why we're cheaper than Steam
Steam takes up to 15% of a sale and keeps the money inside itself — you can't withdraw it. Here the seller gets real money and can take it out, which is why prices stay below Steam's.
