Prime time is the hours when you're definitely at your device and can confirm a trade quickly. During them your items sell; the rest of the time they're hidden from the catalog.
What it gives you
Deals arrive only when you're able to close them. Nobody buys a skin from you at four in the morning and waits for nothing while you sleep. And you, in turn, don't get a cancellation for simply having gone to bed.
This isn't a "slow delivery" mode — the items simply aren't shown to buyers until your prime time begins.
What's expected from you
Confirming trades within 15 minutes inside the interval you chose. That's the whole point of it: the buyer sees a fast listing and gets fast delivery.
Where to set it
Profile → My shop → Prime time. You set the interval and the timezone. The setting can be changed or switched off at any time.
How to choose the hours
- Set the time when the phone with Steam Guard is genuinely within reach.
- A wide interval means more exposure, but also more chances to miss the 15 minutes.
- A narrow interval is safer, but outside it you aren't visible in the catalog at all.
